Where will the War in Racism be one year from now?
Unfortunately there will be very little change in the war on racism anytime soon. It will never even begin to end until ignorance and selfishness is eliminated. At this point no one is taking racism seriously enough to make a significant change. Racism has survived for so long that it will take decades at the very least to make any significant changes in this war. I doubt racism will ever end entirely but it will take everyone working together towards racial equality for any changes for the better to be made.
The Definition of War and how racism fits into it
Wars come in many shapes and sizes. War is a conflict between groups of people and can be started over anything from land ownership to genocide. There is no doubt in people's minds that America is at war in the middle east but how many realize that there is a constant battle going on in every city in the nation? Racism; everyone knows about it but no one is willing to accept how bad it has really become. In his book review titled 'The Coming Race War in America: A Wake Up Call,' published March 1997 in the Washington Post, Carl T. Rowen says, "We see the Freemen and other hate groups like the Aryan Nation, the skinheads, the Ku Klux Kaln, and assorted militias piling up arms for what they say is a coming race war in America that will precede the return of Christ." Racism may possibly be the most dangerous war ever fought yet most Americans are unwilling to admit the severity of racism. racism threatens to tear nations apart from each other and render peace impossible.
